Historic Modern

A small, simple home in Staunton’s Newtown Historic District caught the eye of a creative couple relocating to the area. The exterior, under review by the local Historic Preservation Commission, was completely renovated, while the addition of a small enclosed space and a rear porch added interest. Inside, partitions were removed to transform the small spaces into a bright and open modern living space.

This home was featured in Abode magazine and was awarded a Historic Staunton Foundation Preservation Award in 2015.

Completed with Frazier Associates. Roles served: Project Manager, Lead Designer, Construction Documents.
